Black Pug Records was founded in 2024 by long time record collector and former store owner Pierre Doucet, and opened its doors in March 2025 in the heart of Bathurst, NB, Canada.  It has been a long time since a brick-and-mortar independent record store called Bathurst its home, and with the resurgence of records and physical media as a whole, Black Pug decided to fill a much needed musical hole we had been living in for so long.

We deal in new and used vinyl records, CD's, cassettes, and most movie mediums from VHS, DVD, Blu Ray and 4K Ultra HD movies.  We also sell stereo equipment and accessories, and have the largest selection of physical media for sale in the Chaleur region and beyond!

We relocated to a different location in the winter of 2026, and now have a sister company, a licensed live event venue called Black Pug Live.  We put the spotlight on local and touring bands of all genres, and provide the people of the Chaleur region with intimate concerts and events that used to only hit the bigger Maritime cities.
